Job summary

Rocketship Public Schools Tennessee is seeking an Operations Specialist to support daily school operations at Rocketship Nashville Northeast Elementary. The role focuses on supervising lunch and recess, supervising bus activities, and ensuring smooth arrival and dismissal while upholding school culture.

Qualifications

• Commitment to Rocketship's mission, vision, and goals.
• Passion for working with children.
• Previous experience managing and/or teaching groups of elementary-age students is strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage and work closely with a wide range of staff members.
• Ability to learn laws, rules, practices and procedures related to public education and Rocketship Public Schools.
• Flexibility and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor students during assigned lunch and recess periods.
• Supervise and monitor students while riding the bus.
• Implement all site rules and safety regulations in alignment with Rocketship’s classroom culture.
• Assist with minor custodial tasks around the school, including refilling supplies and addressing messes.
• Report any unsafe conditions to administrators immediately.
• Ensure a safe and efficient arrival and dismissal process for all students before and after school hours.
• Utilize appropriate disciplinary procedures in accordance with the school's discipline plan.
• Attend staff meetings and in-service training as required for the position.
