Job summary

Charter Schools USA in Louisiana is seeking a Full-Time Day Custodian to maintain clean, safe school facilities across the Lafayette area.

You will perform cleaning duties, manage waste, assist with cafeterias, and ensure compliance with safety rules. A minimum high school diploma and about 1 year of janitorial experience are preferred, with opportunities to participate in ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas: interior (hallways, restrooms, offices, classrooms, multi-purpose room) and exterior areas (perimeter, parking lot, playground).
• Empty trash from all receptacles and dust surfaces including FF&E and air vents.
• Sterilize restrooms and handle cleanup of bodily messes per training.
• Help with cafeteria cleaning and maintain floors; assist Head Custodian with projects.
• Follow OSHA and safety procedures; report emergencies promptly.
