Job Details

• Position: Junior Custodian
• Union: SEIU
• Hours: 10:00 am - 7:00 pm, 52 weeks
• Salary: Junior custodian scale
• Reports to: Senior custodian or supervisor of grounds

Qualifications

Strong organizational and communication skills are required. Ability to perform custodial duties, operate grounds equipment, lift at least 50 lbs, and work during snowstorms is essential.

Responsibilities

1. Interact professionally with staff, students, and the public.
2. Perform cleaning, building maintenance, and groundskeeping tasks.
3. Ensure cleanliness of facilities, including bathrooms and cafeteria.
4. Operate grounds equipment like mowers and snow blowers.
5. Inspect the building and report repairs.
6. Assist in maintenance of building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
7. Follow safety protocols and perform other duties as assigned.
8. Maintain punctuality and excellent attendance.
