Job summary

Taos Municipal School District is seeking a Substitute Custodian to maintain the school building and grounds, support classroom setup, and model professionalism for students and staff. The role requires reliable performance and adherence to district policies.

Starting date is immediate. The custodian will help ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming learning environment, perform light maintenance, and assist with security and orderly operations within the school during daily duties.

Qualifications

• Prior custodial experience is preferred.
• Basic computer skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub floors and refinish surfaces to keep facilities clean.
• Clean restrooms, dust furniture, wash windows and walls; dispose of trash.
• Assist in classroom setup and maintenance of furniture/equipment.
• Adhere to safety procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Secure equipment and supplies; follow district procedures and safety rules.
• Perform minor repairs and painting as assigned by district staff.
