Job summary

Upper Valley Career Center in Piqua, Ohio, is seeking a Substitute/Seasonal Custodian to assist with cleaning and maintaining facilities. The position is part-time/hourly with responsibilities including sanitizing restrooms, sweeping floors, and trash removal, with summer and winter break duties as described.

Open to renewal and begins TBD. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and basic math/data recording skills, with a background check and health screenings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Ability to cope with stressful and/or adverse conditions.
• Able to pass a BCI/FBI background check and meet health screening requirements.
• Maintains data accurately and can use basic math concepts.

Responsibilities

• Checks daily schedule of school activities and prepares for clean-up.
• Replenishes consumables to avoid interruptions.
• Performs custodial duties and cleans assigned areas.
• Cleans floors, furnishings, fixtures, walls, and windows.
• Removes trash regularly and keeps areas orderly.
• Moves equipment and assists with deliveries and inventory checks.
• Performs outdoor cleaning tasks such as mowing and trimming.
• Follows MSDS and health/safety guidelines and participates in training.
