Job summary

Culpeper County School District Maintenance/Operations is seeking a substitute custodian to perform routine and non-routine cleaning in assigned areas to keep the school building in a safe, clean, and orderly condition. This role requires following prescribed schedules and taking on minor maintenance tasks as needed.

Starting immediately, the substitute custodian will respond to requests from faculty, attend in-service training, and adhere to safety guidelines while assisting with special events

Qualifications

• Completion of high school or equivalent required or acceptable experience.
• Experience with building cleaning is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Trash removal and cleaning of assigned areas.
• Respond to requests from administration and staff.
• Open and secure the building; weekend coverage as needed.
• Maintain floors and carpet; assist with minor maintenance tasks.
• Report hazards to administration promptly.
• Follow safety procedures and wear protective equipment.
