Job summary

Alabaster City Schools in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, is seeking multiple Custodians for the upcoming academic year. The ideal candidate will be in good health and demonstrate the aptitude for assigned responsibilities. Responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining various school facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for students. This position is under a nine- to twelve-month contract based on the Principal's schedule. Salary is determined according to the approved current schedule.

Qualifications

• Good general health.
• Demonstrated aptitude for assigned responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, wash, strip, wax, and vacuum floors in assigned areas.
• Dust furniture and clean and polish fixtures on a daily schedule.
• Keep wastebaskets emptied and clean.
• Report to principal and maintenance technician of acts of vandalism.
• Assist with keeping building and grounds free of paper and litter.
• Keep restrooms clean and stocked with necessary paper supplies.
• Wash all windows as needed.
• Clean chalkboards.
• Requisition supplies as needed.
• Comply with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash, rubbish, and waste.
• Assist with keeping grounds as assigned.
• Be regular and punctual in attendance.
• Perform duties in a manner that promotes good public relations.
• Maintain confidentiality of any school system related business.
• Develop and maintain proper and professional relationship with students and other employees.
• Perform other job-related duties during the school day as assigned by the Principal.
