Job summary

Riddle School District seeks qualified applicants for the full-time Custodian position at Riddle Elementary. 261 days per year, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day. The role ensures a safe, attractive, clean environment for students to learn, play, and develop.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic cleaning operations, tools, and terms.
• Knowledge of cleaning agents, chemicals, and MSDS safety.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, scrub, wax floors and vacuum carpets.
• Clean walls, furniture, woodwork and other surfaces.
• Empty waste containers and maintain cleanliness.
• Assist in moving chairs, tables, and other furniture.
• Inspect building for safety hazards and report them.
• Lock doors, turn off lights, and secure buildings as assigned.
• Perform minor repairs and routine upkeep during breaks.
