Job summary

Yuma Elementary School District ONE is seeking a Custodian for Woodard Junior High School for the 2026-2027 school year. The position is 8 hours daily with Tier 1 benefits and 261 workdays. A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred; health records and fingerprint clearance are required.

The Custodian will ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students and staff, perform routine cleaning, monitor safety, and assist during events and daily operations.

Qualifications

• Operating cleaning equipment and industrial tools safely.
• Adherence to safety practices and procedures.
• Ability to handle hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

• Assists students, parents, staff and visitors for the purpose of providing safe access to and from assigned location.
• Cleans assigned facilities and/or grounds for the purpose of maintaining a sanitary, safe and attractive educational environment.
• Maintains job related equipment for the purpose of ensuring availability of required items.
• Directs traffic for the purpose of ensuring the safety of students and other pedestrians.
• Performs summer maintenance for the purpose of completing and/or facilitating summer construction.
