Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Clear criminal history check, physical, and drug test required; first aid training.
• Alternatives to the above qualification as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain building areas in a clean, neat, safe condition with the proper use of materials, methods, and practices.
• Adapt a flexible work schedule and routine, performing duties with awareness of students, staff, visitors, and weather conditions, primarily indoors and occasionally outdoors.
• Operate, clean, and maintain custodial equipment/tools, complying with laws for disposal of trash, chemicals, and supplies; maintain up-to-date cleaning methods.
• Communicate or receive directives clearly, effectively both orally and in writing; use the appropriate channels when concerns arise.
• Perform the physical demands of this position, lifting up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 90 lbs.
• Performs other functions and duties as assigned by the supervisor.
