Job summary

Elkins School District Maintenance and Transportation seeks a dedicated Custodian to maintain cleanliness and safety across school facilities. The role reports to the Maintenance Director and principal, supporting preventive maintenance and routine inspections as part of daily operations.

Primary duties include executing custodial tasks, following district guidelines for supplies, and ensuring a clean, orderly environment for students and staff at all times.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties as assigned by the building principal and/or the Maintenance Director.
• Perform preventive maintenance functions.
• Perform routine inspection of the school plant with the Maintenance Director.
• Follow established district guidelines regarding the request of custodial supplies.
• Report to and perform other duties as assigned by the maintenance/transportation director, principal or superintendent of schools.
• Provide a safe, orderly and clean environment for students and faculty at all times.
