Elliott County Primary is seeking a dedicated Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming learning environment for students, staff, and visitors. This full-time role requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

The successful candidate will perform routine cleaning, follow safety procedures, and support school events while maintaining a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• HS diploma preferred.
• Custodial experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.
• Ensure safe and proper use and storage of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Monitor and restock supplies to maintain inventory levels.
• Report maintenance or safety issues promptly.
• Set up and take down furniture and equipment for events.
• Conduct periodic deep cleaning tasks as scheduled.
• Follow health and safety regulations for hazardous materials.
• Collaborate with staff to meet cleaning needs and maintain a positive school environment.
• Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
