Job summary

Jefferson County Public Schools is seeking a custodian for the FAIRDALE HIGH MCA area to perform daily cleaning tasks across district buildings. The role follows the 261 days/8 hours calendar and will be paid on the 1B Grade 2 salary schedule.

The position offers an hourly pay range of $16.13–$19.24 with an additional $3.50 per hour critical need stipend, and requires a high school diploma or GED with ability to operate commercial cleaning equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to perform basic commercial cleaning tasks in schools and office buildings.
• Ability to use/operate commercial cleaning equipment.
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides efficient, quality cleaning (housekeeping) tasks District buildings following established practices, standards and methods under the direction of the supervisor.
