Qualifications

• Six months of cleaning or custodial experience.
• Knowledge of methods, materials, and techniques of cleaning and custodial work.
• Knowledge of basic safety practices and procedures.
• Ability to operate non-complex hand and power cleaning tools and equipment.
• Ability to read, write, and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, vacuums, dusts, mops, waxes and buffs floors, hallways, stairs and interiors; operates cleaning equipment.
• Washes windows, walls, ceilings; polishes brass and displays equipment.
• Dusts and polishes furniture.
• Cleans and maintains sanitary restrooms.
• Gathers and transports trash to disposal locations.
• Moves and rearranges furniture and equipment.
• Removes and installs light bulbs.
• May remove weeds and mow lawns; clear snow from sidewalks, steps, and grounds.
• Maintain supplies and materials with others.
