Job summary

Phoenixville Area School District is seeking a dedicated Custodian to perform cleaning and maintenance across district buildings and grounds. The role requires assisting students, teachers, and staff while ensuring safe, orderly facilities. The position starts at $20 per hour and negotiable based on experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or completion of sufficient education to perform duties.
• Previous experience in cleaning/maintenance desirable.

Responsibilities

• Secure building at start and end of shift to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Clean rooms, hallways, cafeterias, restrooms, offices, and other areas per district standards.
• Sweep, mop, buff, strip and wax floors as required.
• Clean rugs, carpets, blinds, and wash walls/windows.
• Replace light bulbs and move furniture for events.
• Receive deliveries and help unload trucks, then store supplies.
• Empty wastebaskets and assist in recycling programs.
