Job summary

CPC Behavioral Healthcare in Marlboro, NJ is seeking a School Custodian to maintain high sanitary standards and the safety of the facility and grounds under the Building & Grounds Supervisor.

The role requires physical work, the ability to perform routine cleaning duties, open/close, respond to alarms, and ensure daily upkeep of interior and exterior spaces. This position supports a safe and healthy environment for staff, clients and visitors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• General good health sufficient to perform duties including heavy labor.
• Reliable, honest and experienced in janitorial work.
• Flexibility to meet agency needs; able to work varied shifts.
• Meets background search standards.

Responsibilities

• Cleans buildings and grounds to established sanitary standards.
• Opens and closes buildings as needed.
• Responds to alarms and is on call for emergencies.
• Performs sweeping, mopping and vacuuming of all areas.
• Removes trash and recyclables from all rooms and offices.
• Maintains floors via stripping, scrubbing, waxing and shampooing.
