Job summary

The Rock Hill School District's India Hook Elementary seeks a General Custodian to keep classrooms, hallways, and grounds clean, safe, and welcoming for students, staff, and visitors. You will perform sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing tasks daily and report maintenance needs to supervisors.

Responsibilities include opening/closing the building, securing doors, and following district safety procedures while working under Leads Custodian and Principal.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED; 18+.
• Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License or ability to provide own transportation
• Negative tb test results no older than one year before starting employment.

Responsibilities

• Keep the building neat and clean on a daily basis.
• Sweep or vacuum classrooms; dust furniture.
• Clean corridors after school and as needed.
• Disinfect toilets and fixtures daily; sanitize drinking fountains.
• Open and close the building; ensure doors and windows are secured.
