Job summary

The SC Governor's School for Agriculture at John de la Howe is seeking a reliable Custodian to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming learning environment for students and staff. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, cleaning duties, and flexible hours including some weekends for campus events.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED, custodial experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to read and write English.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Custodial experience directly related to the role.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must read and write in English.
• Occasional weekend work may be required.
• CPR/Vector Solutions training completed annually.

Responsibilities

• Keep school areas neat, clean, and sanitary at all times.
• Sweep or vacuum classrooms, offices, and activity spaces daily.
• Sweep and mop cafeteria common spaces daily.
• Clean corridors after use and as needed.
• Wash windows inside and outside at least twice a year.
• Maintain floors in good condition and move furniture as needed.
• Shovel, plow, or sand sidewalks and parking areas as appropriate.
• Empties trash from restrooms and other areas daily.
• Enter maintenance requests when repairs or supplies are needed.
• Restock bathrooms with paper products daily.
• Refill public water stations daily.
• Other duties as assigned.
