Job summary

Gwinnett County Public Schools is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleaning and custodial care in our school facilities. You will perform scheduled cleaning tasks using approved products and equipment, and you will follow instructions from supervisory staff to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and can read and comprehend written instructions in English at a minimum 6th grade level. A Georgia Class C Driver's License is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability and willingness to learn custodial care skills.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions in English at a 6th grade level.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assigned areas in a clean, sanitary, and orderly condition.
• Perform custodial tasks according to GCPS Custodial Care Program.
• Use approved chemicals and equipment as directed by supervision.
• Open and secure facilities as instructed by supervisory staff.
• Suggest improved cleaning practices and assist in evaluations.
• Maintain positive working relationships with team members and facility staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
