Campus Services Group in Escanaba, MI is seeking a dedicated School Custodian to maintain a clean and safe school environment. You will work with staff and students to meet high cleanliness standards and respond to cleaning needs.

The role requires following safety guidelines, using protective gear, and completing tasks on schedule. This is a full-time, on-site position with benefits and opportunities for training and career development.

Qualifications

• Follow oral and written instructions.
• Must be punctual and reliable for scheduled shifts.
• Must be able to stand and walk for 6-8 hours daily.
• Must be able to lift/carry and push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds.
• COVID-19 vaccination compliance as required by state, local, and/or customers.
• Must provide a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial and cleaning tasks within assigned areas to meet quality standards and safety guidelines.
• Use protective gear during all cleaning functions.
• Complete cleaning assignments on schedule.
• Report equipment and cleaning product needs or malfunctions to supervisors.
• Dust mop and damp mop floors in various areas, including classrooms and common spaces.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, classrooms, and common areas.
• Remove trash, empty wastebaskets, and perform related duties as assigned.
• Respond promptly to paging system alerts and customer requests.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions to maintain a sanitary environment.
