Job summary

HES Facilities Management is seeking a custodian to support school facilities with cleaning, safety, and equipment upkeep. You’ll work as part of a team to ensure cleanliness and readiness of spaces used for daily instruction.

Responsibilities include floor care, window cleaning, restrooms, trash removal, and basic maintenance tasks. We welcome motivated individuals with a willingness to learn and able to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, and comprehension at a level appropriate to duties.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
• Willingness to learn.
• Criminal background check required.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, and wax floors.
• Machine shampoo carpeting.
• Clean walls, vents, screens, furniture, drinking fountains, light fixtures, and windows.
• Wash interior and exterior windows and glass doors.
• Empty trash and clean restrooms; replenish supplies.
• Move and set up furniture and equipment for events as directed.
• Identify repair needs and notify management.
