Job summary

You will perform floor care, restroom cleaning and general maintenance while following district policies and safety guidelines. Candidates should be able to lift, walk and stand for long periods and work under supervision.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of custodial basics and safety procedures.
• Ability to perform routine custodial tasks in schools and facilities.
• Understanding of schedules and use of cleaning supplies.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine custodial activities at assigned school site; sweep, scrub, mop, wax and polish floors; vacuum rugs and carpets.
• Clean classrooms, restrooms, locker rooms, offices and related facilities.
• Report safety hazards and maintenance needs to supervisor; maintain building security.
• Open/close doors and gates; monitor security of assigned areas.
• Move furniture and prepare rooms for events; assist with minor repairs as needed.
