Job summary

Constellation Schools in Parma, Ohio is hiring a Building Cleaner to maintain classroom, restroom and common area cleanliness. Duties include custodial tasks, inventory management, and reporting maintenance needs to school leadership.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months of custodial experience, knowledge of cleaning products, and basic computer/app skills. The role supports student and staff wellbeing with adherence to safety guidelines and teamwork across the building.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months cleaning or custodial experience preferred.
• Must understand the use and application of cleaning products and chemicals.
• Proficient in relevant computer applications; respond to emails and clock-in/out via an online timekeeping system.
• Able to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and interact professionally with staff and students.
• Accurate keyboard skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness of restrooms, classrooms, hallways, offices and common areas.
• Restock supplies and monitor custodial inventory.
• Report maintenance issues to school leadership and coordinate basic repairs.
• Follow safety and disinfecting procedures; use PPE as required.
• Support with cleaning after illness, adhering to proper cleanup policies.
• Model good hygiene and encourage campus-wide cleanliness.
