Job summary

You will work full-time, handle entry/exit procedures, operate cleaning equipment, and help ensure a healthy learning environment for students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a cleaning schedule including floors, chalkboards, wastebaskets, windows, furniture, equipment, and restrooms.
• Keep school building and grounds neat and clean including sidewalks and parking areas.
• Comply with local laws and procedures for trash storage and disposal.
• Assist in maintaining an inventory of cleaning supplies and request additional supplies as needed.
• Assist with lunchroom setup, arranging tables and chairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs; report major repairs to principal.
• Regulate heating, ventilation, and air conditioning for safe, economical operation.
• Open/close building each day and ensure doors are secure when needed.
• Inspect machines and equipment for safety and efficiency.
• Follow safety procedures for lifting, bending, and tool use; report unsafe conditions.
