Job summary

Davie County Schools Mocksville Elementary School in Mocksville, NC seeks a Custodian/Bus Driver to maintain clean facilities and operate a school bus as needed.

This role requires working 8 hours a day, 12 months, with starting date ASAP and the ability to obtain the required CDL; reports to the Principal. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, cleaning restrooms, replenishing supplies, minor maintenance tasks, and ensuring safe access to buildings.

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial work or equivalent.
• Must have CDL or eligibility to obtain CDL.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, mops, vacuums, strips, waxes and buffs floor surfaces.
• Cleans restroom areas and replenishes paper supplies and soap as necessary.
• Cleans windows, walls, woodwork, blinds and light fixtures.
• Dusts and cleans desks and other furniture.
• Empties trash receptacles; deposits recyclables.
• Polices grounds and shovels snow or applies de-icing compounds as needed.
• Replaces burned-out light bulbs.
• Performs minor maintenance on appliances as able.
• May open/close buildings and adjust lights/temperature as needed.
