ISD 728 School District is seeking a School Custodian for the 2nd shift at Elk River High School. The role is full-time, entry-level with opportunities to learn facility systems such as HVAC and boilers.

You will join a team dedicated to creating a safe and welcoming learning environment for students and staff. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license; willingness to obtain district certifications.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders up to 12 feet.
• Ability to read and write basic instructions and communicate repair needs.
• Willingness to work varied shifts, weekends, or overtime.
• Entry-level with opportunities to learn facility systems (HVAC, boilers).

Responsabilités

• Create a great environment by cleaning classrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Conduct routine safety checks on playgrounds and building grounds.
• Set up and tear down furniture and equipment for events and programs.
• Lock and unlock facilities according to daily schedules for safety.
• Monitor utilities and assist with building systems as needed (HVAC, irrigation).
• Lead or guide part-time, temporary, or student workers when assigned.
