Harford County School Custodian Position

Position Summary Details:

We are seeking a motivated, friendly team member to perform general cleaning duties in designated areas within a school, college, or university environment. The hourly rate is $15.75.

Essential Functions:

• Perform work according to directions, standard procedures, and established schedules.
• Operate and sanitize all assigned equipment safely and properly.
• Follow all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adhere to safe work practices.
• Work Schedule: 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm.

Responsibilities:

• Clean classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, and stairways.
• Sweep, remove debris, clean spills, and mop floors in designated areas.
• Check and empty trash receptacles regularly in all designated areas.
• Collect, consolidate, and separate recyclables into proper receptacles.
• Clean mirrored surfaces; polish stainless steel surfaces.
• Dust furniture, fixtures, shelves, and other surfaces as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, including cleaning and polishing as required.
• Wash walls, woodwork, doors, and sills.
• Complete cleaning, safety, and inspection logs as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
