Job summary

BridgePrep Academy, Inc. in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a dedicated School Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and high-quality learning environment for students.

The role requires performing cleanliness, upkeep, and maintenance tasks, completing work orders within 48 hours, and following safety procedures with PPE at all times. Prior custodial experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions for cleaning, minor maintenance, and safety.
• Physical requirements include handling chemicals, operating cleaning equipment, and lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally (10 pounds frequently).
• Requires successful completion of a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
• Prior experience in commercial or school-based custodial operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain exceptional cleaning standards across classrooms, common areas, and school grounds.
• Execute assigned repair and maintenance work orders within 48 hours.
• Use PPE 100% of the time, keep all chemical supplies securely locked, and report unsafe situations.
• Monitor supplies and order from the Facilities Manager within campus guidelines.
• Safely operate heavy cleaning machinery and properly handle standard facility cleaning solutions.
