Job summary

aa210 is seeking a Crossing Guard to assist children and pedestrians at school routes in Sugar Land, TX. This role focuses on safety, guiding pedestrians, and presenting a visible safety presence to motorists.

You will assemble pedestrians, interrupt traffic when gaps appear, teach crossing procedures, and report unsafe behavior to school officials. Must communicate clearly in English and be able to stand for extended periods in all weather.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Willingness to work with children.
• Ability to stand/walk for at least 1 hour or more.
• Ability to communicate and speak effectively in English.
• Dependable and responsible.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assemble children and pedestrians behind curb lines, awaiting traffic gaps or signal changes.
• Interrupt traffic and escort pedestrians into the street to cross safely.
• Instruct children in proper crossing procedures.
• Direct traffic movement and warn of hazards using signs and signals.
• Stop traffic as necessary.
