Job summary

Chippewa Valley Schools Dakota High School in Macomb, Michigan is seeking a Crossing Guard to help students arrive and depart the campus safely. This part-time position runs two hours daily with shifts at 6:30am–7:30am and 2:00pm–3:00pm, paying $15.44–$16.89 per hour.

Responsibilities include supervising students at crosswalks, stopping traffic when needed, and communicating safety rules to the school community. Annual training is provided by the Traffic Safety Association.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Knowledge of school policies and safety regulations.
• Annual training by the Traffic Safety Association.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and monitors students as they cross streets and school grounds.
• Stops traffic when necessary.
• Ensures that students comply with school rules and communicates safety instructions.
• Maintains a safe flow of traffic on and off school grounds during school hours.
• Must be punctual and communicate with staff and community.
