We are seeking reliable and responsible School Crossing Guards to join our team dedicated to Keeping Kids Safe in Altadena. Responsibilities include ensuring the safety of children and pedestrians crossing the street on their way to and from school, working in school neighborhoods, and interacting with parents, children, and community members.

Responsibilities

• Safely guide pedestrians across designated intersections or crosswalks
• Monitor traffic flow and stop vehicles as needed to ensure safe crossings
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and drivers to promote safety
• Maintain compliance with all safety practices
• Respond quickly to job site needs; candidates in or near Altadena are preferred

Compensation

Altadena School Crossing Guards earn $18.00 per hour. Work 1 hour before and 1 hour after school, plus an additional bonus hour. Working both shifts earns $54.00 per day.
