Job summary

Cedar Creek Middle in Youngsville, NC is seeking a School Counselor to join a split position. The role reports to the Principal and Counseling Supervisor and supports personal-social growth, educational planning, and career development for students.

The counselor will provide counseling services, coordinate services, assist teachers with the Guidance Curriculum, and work with virtual learning when assigned. A Master’s in counseling and NC licensure are required, with immediate starting date.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a Master’s degree in counseling.
• Must be licensed by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction in counseling or eligible for licensure.
• Experience in school counseling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish the school counseling program and develop activities to implement and evaluate it.
• Provide individual and group counseling to meet students' developmental needs.
• Consult with students, parents, and teachers to support student needs.
• Coordinate counseling services and assist with the Guidance Curriculum.
• Accurately interpret test results and support student placement decisions.
• Adhere to ethical standards and engage in professional development.
• Utilize the Learning Management System for Online/Virtual Learning programs.
