Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a School Counselor / Mental Health Worker for travel assignments in Phoenix, AZ. The role provides individual and group counseling to students with emotional, behavioral, or social challenges, supporting coping strategies and emotional regulation.

Collaborate with families, teachers, and staff to create safe learning environments, refer to community mental health services when needed, and contribute to school-wide mental health initiatives.

Qualifications

• Licensing/certification as required by state/facility/contract.
• Associate/Bachelor/Master in Psychology, Addictions, Sociology, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing or related field per guidelines.
• Complies with professional standards of practice.
• CPR current if applicable.
• TB questionnaire/PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Health certificate as required.
• Must meet federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

The School Counselor/School Mental Health Worker providesindividual and group counseling to students experiencing emotional, behavioral,or social challenges. The SchoolCounselor/School Mental Health Worker supports students in developing copingstrategies, improving emotional regulation, and enhancing overall mentalwell-being. In collaboration withfamilies, teachers, and other school staff, they help create a safe and supportivelearning environment, facilitate referrals to community-based mental healthservices when needed, and contribute to the development of school-wide mentalhealth initiatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Licensing/Certification according to state/facility/contractrequirement
• The Counselor may be required to have an Associate’s Degree,Bachelor’s Degree or Masters in Psychology, Addictions, Sociology, Social Work,Counseling, Nursing, or some other Human Development major per state, contract and/or facilityguidelines.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
