Mother of Our Redeemer Catholic School in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, seeks a qualified and experienced full-time School Counselor for the upcoming 2026-27 school year to collaborate with the administration, faculty, staff, and parents to address the students’ needs. The School Counselor performs the duties and responsibilities of a counselor in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Archdiocese of Miami and St. Anthony Catholic School.

Responsibilities include:

• Design and implement a comprehensive, data-driven school counseling program that promotes student success, addressing academic, social/emotional, and college/career development.
• Provide direct counseling services and indirect support through collaboration with parents, teachers, and community resources.
• Promote a positive school climate and foster family and community partnerships. Advocates for equity and access, using data to drive systemic improvements.
• Lead, evaluate, and report on counseling initiatives while adhering to ethical, legal, and professional standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Counseling required.
• FDOE certification in Guidance Counseling required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience.
• Strong presentation skills with use of instructional technologies.
• Ability to effectively make decisions, in collaboration with the school administration.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively daily.
• Ability to work with varying grade levels of students, creating activities that are helpful for all.
• Confidential approach towards information learned in this position.
• Participate in faculty meetings, retreats, school assemblies, and special events.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
• Supportive and respectful of the missions and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church.
• Knowledge of basic tenets of the Catholic Church.
