The role involves working with the leadership team to implement the program, guide student growth, assist with college and career exploration, and monitor progress and behavior across the school community.

Qualifications

• Georgia Professional Certification in Social Counseling (S5–S7) is required.
• Minimum 2 years of school-based counseling experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families.
• Strong judgment for handling incidents and confidentiality.
• Commitment to the vision, mission, and values of Centennial Academy.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a comprehensive school counseling program that meets student needs.
• Consult with teachers, parents, and staff to enhance effectiveness and support students.
• Assist with high school placement and college/career exploration.
• Monitor student academic performance, behavior, and attendance; provide interventions.
• Coordinate with the Department of Student Life & Leadership for events and recognitions.
• Provide individual and group counseling; refer to specialists and community resources when needed.
