Job Description
  • Assist students to assess abilities, limitations, interests, talents, aptitudes and surroundings
  • Assist students to learn how to accept, use and cope with information about self and others
  • Assist students to develop skills and attitudes which may be used to realize full potential
  • Assist any parent(s)/guardian who request(s) the opportunity to discuss mutually, student, parental and/or school concerns. (meetings, letters, calls)
  • Assist teachers and educational specialists by providing an opportunity for an interchange of ideas relating to instruction, performance and well-being of students
  • Assist administrators by discussing the implication of the comprehensive effects of the school upon the student
  • Assist ancillary school personnel, such as secretarial staff and paraprofessionals, to improve the functioning of students in the school
  • Assist representatives of referral/resource agencies, and community members to provide support to the student or the school in the solving of immediate and long-range problems, and the exploring of goals and needs
  • Adhere to all District policies and regulations
