Job summary

Muskegon Public Schools is seeking a School Counselor. Qualifications include a Master’s Degree or an alternative pathway to school counseling credentials, or a State-issued School Counselor License from the Michigan Department of Education. Endorsements such as NT, TSCL, PSCL, or SCL are acceptable.

Requirements

• Temporary School Counselor License (TSCL)
• Preliminary School Counselor License (PSCL)
• School Counselor License (SCL)

Qualifications

Ability to work cooperatively with multi-disciplinary teams in situations requiring a high degree of flexibility, creativity, and initiative.

Secondary (middle and high school) experience.

Demonstrated understanding and appreciation of diversity.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
