The School Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based in Chicago, IL, working within partner schools to support students’ social, emotional, and academic development. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing individual and group counseling, conducting assessments, and creating plans to address students’ emotional and behavioral needs. The School Counselor collaborates with teachers, administrators, and caregivers to coordinate interventions, monitor progress, and connect students and families with appropriate resources. The role also involves crisis response, documentation of services, participation in school meetings, and contribution to school-wide initiatives that promote mental health, equity, and positive school climate.
