Job Description
Newfound Area School District has an immediate opening for a dependable, organized, and student-focused School Nutrition Cook for Newfound Regional High School. This is a part-time school year position, 5hr/day.
- Preparing the daily main meal from approved menus and standardized recipes.
- Preparing, portioning, and replenishing other hot and cold items as assigned.
- Setting up serving areas and serving students and adults courteously.
- Completing required production, temperature, sanitation, and receiving records.
- Monitoring inventory and reporting supply needs to the Site Manager.
- Checking deliveries and safely stocking, labeling, dating, and rotating supplies.
- Washing dishes, pans, utensils, and equipment.
- Cleaning and sanitizing preparation, service, storage, washing, and kitchen areas.
- Following food-safety, allergen, time‑temperature, sanitation, and workplace‑safety procedures.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Food-service or quantity-cooking experience preferred.
- Ability to follow menus, recipes, labels, and written instructions.
- Ability to perform basic math, keep accurate records, and safely use commercial kitchen equipment.
- Ability to obtain district-required food-safety certification within the established timeframe.
- Dependable attendance, teamwork, and ability to perform active kitchen work safely.
- Applicants must successfully complete all district pre-employment requirements, including criminal records check and fingerprinting as applicable.
