Job summary

Chesnee Middle School is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support students with personal care needs and assist in health-related tasks under the supervision of a licensed RN. The role includes maintaining health records, conducting basic health screenings, and ensuring student well-being within the clinic and classrooms.

The position reports to the Building School Nurse/Manager and Building Principal, with a schedule of 7.5 hours per day for 190 days annually.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate or equivalent is required.
• Job-related experience within a specialized field is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with personal care needs and support in special education classrooms.
• Maintain routine clinic records and assist with health screenings under RN direction.
• Take vital signs and document results per district/state/federal requirements.
• Escort students to and from health room and communicate findings to health staff.
• Prepare and file health records and ensure confidentiality.

Education
