Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, and wax floors.
• Machine shampoo carpeting.
• Clean walls, vents, screens, furniture, and fixtures.
• Wash interior and exterior windows and glass doors.
• Empty trashcans and manage waste outside entrances.
• Clean restrooms and replenish supplies.
• Change accessible interior light bulbs.
• Move and arrange furniture for functions as directed.
• Complete work requests and report repairs.
• Remove snow and ice and apply salt when needed.
• Organize custodial closets and supply areas.
• 10–12 rooms (part-time) or 12–20 rooms (full-time) per day varies by school.
