Job summary

Charter Schools USA is seeking a part-time Security Guard to patrol assigned facilities, protect students, staff, and property, and ensure safety across campus environments.

You will oversee access, monitor the security system, respond to incidents, and cooperate with local authorities. The role requires flexibility for nights, holidays, and weekends, and adherence to school policies. Training programs will enhance skills and compliance with safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; may substitute with equivalent experience.
• Two years of security experience, or three years in a supervisory role.
• Ability to recognize unsafe or abnormal situations and respond appropriately.
• Knowledge of fire extinguishers and proper usage.
• Willingness to work nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Patrol facilities, parking lots, and equipment; report incidents to authorities.
• Oversee student pickup/drop-off procedures and visitor management.
• Monitor the electronic security system and maintain logs.
• Supervise other security personnel and participate in training.
• Follow laws and school board policies; perform other duties as assigned.
