Job summary

Qualifications

Experience working with the public and youth.
Neat appearance and ability to stand for long periods.
Knowledge of Arizona laws pertaining to schools and youth preferred.
Experience in law enforcement preferred.
Knowledge of drugs and alcohol and their detection and effects.
Background clearance required; obtain Arizona IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

Patrol district buildings and grounds to prevent substance abuse, fighting, theft, vandalism and illegal entry.
Learn names of students to assist with campus control.
Confront unauthorized persons for questioning and call police per emergency plan.
Report unusual conditions or malfunctioning systems.
Patrol grounds to deter unauthorized or improperly parked vehicles.
Prepare written reports of security violations.
Direct and control vehicle traffic on district property when needed.
Assist staff with student conduct.
Serve as witness in disciplinary or court proceedings when required.
Perform other duties to support district priorities.
