Job summary

Sylvania in Meridian, Idaho, is seeking a Food Service Support worker to prepare and serve meals and perform cashiering in a school cafeteria, supporting students and teachers throughout the day. This is a part-time position with a pay rate around $15.64–$15.69 per hour.

Under the supervision of the Kitchen Manager, you will assist with basic food preparation, serving, and clean-up; operate standard kitchen equipment safely; balance cash drawers; maintain sanitation and record-keeping; and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Cash handling and basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs cashiering duties including entering transactions and balancing cash drawer.
• Prepares food following standardized recipes and serving methods.
• Operates standard kitchen equipment such as mixer, slicer, oven and dishwasher.
• Maintains sanitation and records as assigned; follows health and safety guidelines.
• Attends approved training and adheres to district policies and safety practices.
