Job summary

Avon Community School Corporation seeks a substitute food service worker to prepare and serve nutritious meals in school programs. You will help maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe food service environment and support students and staff throughout the day.

The role is non-exempt, hourly pay of $17.00, with no eligibility for paid time off or holiday pay. Open to individuals with a high school diploma and a willingness to learn from experienced staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced training desirable.
• Experience in food preparation and service; commitment to a positive environment for school lunch program.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions; ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist on serving line and with clean-up tasks.
• Provide food preparation as directed and assist with kitchen duties.
• Operate equipment in kitchen/cafeteria and cashier as needed.
• Assist in recordkeeping and reports.
