Job summary

Needham Public Schools is seeking a friendly and energetic Cafeteria Worker Substitute (1 yr.) to join our Needham High School team in Massachusetts. The role involves meal production, serving, and cleanup in the school kitchen and cafeteria under the supervision of the Cafeteria Manager.

We value diversity and a commitment to equity, with training provided for ServSafe and food safety. The position is a long-term substitute with a Monday–Friday schedule and a hourly wage range.

Qualifications

• Read basic English and follow directions.
• Lift 50 lbs.
• Walk and stand for the duration of the work schedule.
• Learn and follow food safety procedures (ServSafe training provided; certification exam after training).
• Food Service experience as a Substitute Cafeteria Worker in Needham Public Schools is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of meal production, serving, and cleanup in the school kitchen and cafeteria as assigned by the Cafeteria Manager.
• Receive and put away orders of foods and supplies.
