Job summary

Hopkinton Public School District in Hopkinton, Massachusetts is seeking a Food Service Substitute to assist in the preparation, presentation, and cleanup of school meals. The role is contingent (as needed), paying $18.58/hour for 4-6 hours per day, across all schools in the district.

The substitute will support cafeteria operations, serve meals to students and staff, maintain sanitary kitchen areas, and help with storage and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred.
• Ability to read basic operating and use instructions.
• Ability to give and receive instructions and information.
• Basic knowledge of food service and sanitation practices.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Food Service Director or Superintendent may find appropriate.

Responsibilities

• To serve food to students and staffs, according to instructions.
• To clean any area of kitchen according to sanitary regulations.
• To store all food properly.
• To follow all safety instructions when using equipment.
• Other duties, as assigned.
