Job summary

Rankin County School District is seeking a Cafeteria Worker to assist with preparing and serving nutritious meals to students in a clean, efficient kitchen environment on the Brandon campus. The role reports to the Cafeteria Manager and requires punctual attendance and teamwork.

Responsibilities include following safety and sanitation guidelines, attending trainings, and supporting staff during meal periods.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices
• Experience in food service is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Prepare, serve, and portion meals to students in a timely and courteous manner
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining areas, and equipment
• Attend training meetings as required
• Report to work on time and stay until dismissed by the manager
• Follow safety, sanitation, and district policies and procedures
• Assist with inventory, food handling, and waste management
• Maintain professional conduct and positive relations with staff and students
