Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a Food Service Aide at North Jacksonville Elementary School to help supervise students during meals and maintain a clean cafeteria. You will assist with orderly food distribution, supervise playtime, and ensure safety and order during lunch periods.

The role requires good communication, the ability to work under supervision, and the capability to work with children. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred and confidentiality is important.

Qualifications

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Bilingual oral skills (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality about students.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in the cafeteria during mealtime.
• Ensure tables and surrounding areas are clean.
• Supervise playground/classroom during lunch hour.
• Assist with orderly food purchases, distribution of food, disposal of waste, and return of trays.
• Maintain students seated in assigned areas and circulate among tables.
• Organize groups of students for orderly dismissal from the cafeteria.
• Assist with supervising students in libraries and escorting to buses.
• Report infractions or safety concerns to teachers/principal/nurse/security.
