Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in quantity food service preferred.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions and work with others.

Responsibilities

• Observes and promotes safe work practices and procedures.
• Prepares food according to standardized recipes and procedures.
• Takes and records internal food temperatures.
• Plans food production for following days by preparing designated items ahead of time.
• Keeps steam-table pans properly placed on the cafeteria line prior to serving time.
• Takes temperatures of warming units, freezers and refrigerators.
• Stores and handles food safely, labeling and dating appropriately.
• Assists with banquet and special function meals as required.
• Maintains clean and orderly kitchen and dining areas.
